L’Art Rock in Saint-Brieuc
There aren’t many better ways of celebrating the arrival of good weather than an outdoor festival! This is what’s been happening in Saint-Brieuc every Pentecost weekend for more than 30 years. Over a period of three days, this town in the Côtes-d’Armor region pays homage to art in all its forms by cleverly blending concerts, street theatre, theatre, circus, dance, shows, fine art and video. An entire programme of events! To experience this really comprehensive festival to the full, while enjoying the beauty of Cap d’Erquy, you can rely on our Les Pins campsite, which lies just a 40 minute drive from the town of Saint-Brieuc. A great way of combining a relaxing time with countryside getaways and cultural outings!
Vieilles Charrues Festival
If there’s one festival that really draws the crowds in Brittany, it’s the Vieilles Charrues, the music of which permeates the grasslands between Kerampuilh and Carhaix-Plouguer. Considered one of Europe’s largest music festivals, this 4-day event in mid-July is well-known for its top lineups, featuring big headline acts and young artists. From rock to electro, and including hip-hop, French chanson and world music, les Vieilles Charrues is intended to be eclectic and to cross the generations. Our Les Mouettes village is the perfect place for enjoying 5 star accommodation very close to the sea, while also enabling you to get to the festival in under an hour. Why not book your holiday there as soon as you can!
Lorient Interceltic Festival
The event of which Brittany is certainly the most proud, however, continues to be the Lorient Interceltic Festival. For ten days in early August, this town in Morbihan takes you to the heart of Celtic culture with a hundred or so concerts and shows and its Grand Parade of Celtic Nations, which sees thousands of dancers, singers and musicians passing through the streets with their flags and wearing their traditional dress. This gathering is so impressive that it is often shown on TV. If you wish to enjoy this unique French festival, you won’t find a better location to stay than the camping Belle Plage. You’ll be able to spend your holiday in a really lovely natural seaside setting, which is just a 15 minute drive from Lorient.
Brittany is famous for its festivals, and has plenty of other nice surprises in store for you too. So come and see what’s on offer here when you stay in one of our Yelloh! Village campsites in the region!
